Overtime Book Tour – Chicago

August 28 @ 6:30 pm

Join John U. Bacon, a Michigan alum and New York Times best-selling author, to talk about his new book, OVERTIME: Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines at the Crossroads of College Football. OVERTIME offers a rare all-access window into the world of big-time college football—a 3.4 billion-dollar business that captivates 50 million spectators and 200 million viewers–seen from the perspective of the players, the often overlooked engine behind the sport’s success. Bacon interviewed over 100 players, from All-Americans to walk-ons, plus their parents, coaches, and staffers, every week before, during, and after the season, to compile more than 1,000 pages of interview notes, plus another 1,000-page file of research notes, to create an incredibly intimate look behind the scenes. OVERTIME will be released on September 3rd and is already receiving rave reviews. Attendees at this UMCGC event will be the only ones to access to the book before its official release. Appetizers will be served, and copies of OVERTIME and Bacon’s other books are available for purchase and signing both before and at the event.
