A Thanksgiving break: Big Ten Icons, and an NPR interview TODAY!

Hello Loyal Readers,

I’m off the road for a few days, at least, but will be heading out for “Three and Out” speeches and signings in Atlanta on Tuesday, Minneapolis on Wednesday, and New York next Saturday, December third.  (Please check under “events” for complete details.)

We’ve had to cancel the event on December 6 for the M-Club of Greater Detroit, but we’ve added two: Monday, December 12, 6 p.m. at Sava’s on State Street, and Saturday, December 17, a book signing only at 2-4 at Nicola’s Books in Ann Arbor.

The book tour has been a great success at every stop, thanks to great UM Alumni Club presidents and Loyal Readers like you!  (And, dumb me, I always forget to tell just about EVERY audience that I have this little blog.  Guess that’s why I’m a writer, and not a marketer!)

No commentary yet this week until I figure out how to open my documents on my new MacBook Pro (okay, not a computer whiz, either!).

But in the meantime, you can see five straight “Big Ten Coaching Icons” on the Big Ten Network Friday morning, 9-11:30: Dan Gable, Barry Alvarez, Tom Osborne, Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler. Tape ’em and save ’em! They do a great job with these.  (I’m on all but the Alvarez piece.)

But more important, my interview with Sacha Pfeiffer (subbing for Robin Young) runs today on “Here & Now,” the popular NPR talk show out of WBUR in Boston, between 1-2 on Michigan Radio. To find out what time it runs on your NPR station, just click: http://www.wbur.org/syndication?program=Here-and-Now

Hope to see you soon on the book tour!

And as always, THANK YOU!

Nebraska’s entry into the Big 10 this year qualifies Osbourne as a Big 10 Icon? Great coach, and individual……no Big 10 Icon.
